【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstwotypesofheattreated,steel,tensioncontrolbolt-nut-washerassemblies,alsoreferredtoasx201C;sets,x201D;havingatensilestrengthof150to173ksi.Theseassembliesarecapableofdevelopingaminimumpredeterminedtensionwheninstalledbyapplyingtorquetothenut,whileatthesametimeapplyingacountertorquetoseparatethesplineendfromthebodyoftheboltusinganappropriatesplinedriveinstallationtool.1.2Anassemblyconsistsofatensioncontrolboltwithsplineend(coveredbythisspecification)andasuitablenutandwashercoveredbyreferencetoapplicableASTMspecifications.1.3Thefastenerassembliesareintendedforuseinstructuralconnections.Theseconnections,installationprocedures,andtheuseofalternatedesignstructuralboltsarecoveredundertherequirementsofthex201C;SpecificationforStructuralJointsUsingASTMA325orA490Boltsx201D;,approvedbytheResearchCouncilonStructuralConnections.1.4Theassembliesareavailablewitheitherround(buttonordome)heads,heavyhexstructuralheads,oralternatedesignheadsdescribedinSection11,insizesx00BD;to11/8in.inclusive,intwotypesspecifiedinSection4.1.5TensioncontrolboltsmanufacturedandmarkedinaccordancewiththerequirementsofSpecificationA490,andconformingtothedimensionalandotherrequirementsofthisspecification,willbeconsideredanacceptablealternateunderthisspecificationfortwoyearsfollowinginitialpublication.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarystatementpertainsonlytothetestmethodportions,Sections15and16,ofthisSpecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsestandardforthecomparativesurfaceburningbehaviorofbuildingmaterialsisapplicabletoexposedsurfacessuchaswallsandceilings.Thetestisconductedwiththespecimenintheceilingpositionwiththesurfacetobeevaluatedexposedfacedowntotheignitionsource.Thematerial,product,orassemblyshallbecapableofbeingmountedinthetestpositionduringthetest.Thus,thespecimenshalleitherbeself-supportingbyitsownstructuralquality,heldinplacebyaddedsupportsalongthetestsurface,orsecuredfromthebackside.Thepurposeofthistestmethodistodeterminetherelativeburningbehaviorofthematerialbyobservingtheflamespreadalongthespecimen.Flamespreadandsmokedevelopedindexarereported.However,thereisnotnecessarilyarelationshipbetweenthesetwomeasurements.Theuseofsupportingmaterialsontheundersideofthetestspecimenhastheabilitytolowertheflamespreadindexfromthosewhichmightbeobtainedifthespecimencouldbetestedwithoutsuchsupport.Thesetestresultsdonotnecessarilyrelatetoindicesobtainedbytestingmaterialswithoutsuchsupport.Testingofmaterialsthatmelt,drip,ordelaminatetosuchadegreethatthecontinuityoftheflamefrontisdestroyed,resultsinlowflamespreadindicesthatdonotrelatedirectlytoindicesobtainedbytestingmaterialsthatremaininplace.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatoryinformation.Thesenotesandfootnotes,excludingthoseintablesandfigures,shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfire-hazardorfire-riskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions..Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
